Project Instructions

Step: 1

Cut fabric as follows: two 11-inch x 14-inch rectangles; two 11-inch x 4-inch rectangles; one 14-inch by 4-inch rectangle.

Step: 2

Cover one side of each fabric piece with black tape.

Step: 3

Cut two 14-inch strips of black tape and use these to attach the bottom to the sides of the purse. Cut two 4-inch strips of black tape and use these to attach the smaller sides to the bottom. Cut four 11-inch strips of black tape and use these to hold the four corners together.

Step: 4

Using either a grommet hole punch or a regular hole punch, punch two holes in the front and two holes in the top back. These will be for the straps. Work keychain rings through the holes. Cover them with chrome tape if desired.

Step: 5

Lay a 44-inch strip of black tape on the table and carefully fold it in half. Repeat with one more strip of black and a strip of chrome tape. Cut these strips in half lengthwise. Braid them together to get two braids each containing one chrome strip and two black strips.

Step: 6

Loop a small piece of each braid end through the keychain rings and wrap a small piece of black tape around the strap to hold it in place.

Step: 7

Optional: Use assorted colors of Duck Tape to create the decorative logo as desired.

Tips

Use photo as a guide and follow manufacturer’s instructions for all products used.

There are a few options for closing the purse in the middle: Snaps could be used (a special clamp would be needed for this), holes could be punched and ribbon used to tie it shut, or Velcro could be used.
