Project Instructions
Shirt
Cut off neckline and make a “V” neck.
Cut off sleeve hems. Cut sleeves into fringes.
Vest
Have costume model wear a T-shirt that fits snugly. Begin to add Duck Tape(® over shirt to the form of the body. Tape into the style of a vest. Once all front and back are taped, carefully cut off vest by cutting down front. Slide off vest.
Tape over edges around neckline, sleeves and front. Add a row of Duck Tape® to front to create a slight overlap.
Use a Crop-a-dile™ to punch holes in the front for lacing.
Lace with ribbon that was cut and sealed with the i-magicut ribbon cutter. (Follow directions on package.)
Belt
Tape Duck Tape® back to back to create a belt. Fit over hip area under the vest. Add a “V” of tape in the front. Accent with a square of gold Duck Tape®. Close in back with Velcro®.
Skirt
Cut three T-shirts the same. Cut from under-arm seam to a point at the center of the neck. Use the “V” cut area as the skirt bottom and shirt hem as waistline.
Use Aleene's® Fabric Fusion® to tape together the shirts at the waistline. Fit shirts snugly around hips. Overlap fabric if needed to fit and use tape to hold closed.
Lay T-shirt skirt flat and begin to cut fringe as seen on photos.
The longest points of the fringe are the front and back.
Hair Tie
Cut three 1" bands of T-shirt. Cut open and pull to stretch to long cords.Braid 8” of the middle of the bands and tie ends leaving fringe.
Quiver
Roll a piece of poster board into a tube the size of a quiver. Tape closed.
Tape up one end with Duck Tape®. Tape over entire outside. Create a strap by laying tape strips on top of each other. Once long enough, tape to quiver top and bottom.
Arrow
Tape over a dowel rod.
Tape a back-to-back square over one end and cut into a point.
For the feathers, make three back-to-back taped squares and cut into a feather shape.
Tape feathers to the other end of the dowel rod.
