Project Instructions

Use a large T-shirt for the outfit and a large red T-shirt for the cape.

For the cape, cut off arms. Cut open the front sides. Cut out middle of the front of the shirt leaving only two flaps in the front. Use Duck Tape® to outline the cape (inside and out). Set aside.

Cover the other shirt to cover with Merlot Mania Duck Tape®. First cut off arms and cut a square neckline. Fold in shirt to make it more fitted and Duck Tape® to hold together. Begin placing tape over entire shirt. Tape the inside bottom of the shirt about 6" up. Cut eight points and finish ends with tape.

Use the sheet of Cookie Dough and cut ½" strips to make a belt around the outfit

To make wrist bands and arm bands lay 2-3 strips of Duck Tape® on a table, sticky side up. Place a matching strip of tape over the top to create a non-sticky strip. Make four of these. Cut cuffs to the size of the child's wrists and biceps. Use sticky-back Velcro® to attach together.

To make sandals, cut 14" strips and place two together; cover with the same size Duck Tape® to create a non-stick panel. Make two. Trace the foot and back of ankle to create a pattern for the sandals and cut out.

Cut strips of Merlot Mania Duck Tape® long enough to wrap around to the top of child's foot and around ankle. Fold the strips in half so the back is no longer sticky. Add the strips to the sandals as straps. Add Velcro® to attach on top of foot and around ankle as shown.

Tips

To finish this costume, let your child wear khaki shorts and "smudge" their face with brown face paint to give them the look that they have been in a noble battle!
