Project Instructions

Step: 1

To form the body of the snowman, place a 12-inch length of white Duck Tape, adhesive side up, on the table and roll one foam ball along tape. Repeat taping process until entire ball is covered. Repeat for additional balls.

Step: 2

To join the balls together use X-Acto knife to cut a hole in each ball and insert a tooth pick. Align the balls vertically to ensure the snowman can stand easily.

Step: 3

For each arm, cut one 4½-inch and one 2-inch length of chenille stem. Wrap the 2-inch length around the 4½-inch length as shown. Use X-Acto knife to make holes in the snowman body to insert arms. Secure with glue if needed.

Step: 4

For “coal” eyes, mouth and buttons, place a piece of black Duck Tape onto a cutting surface. Cut squares from the tape and place them on the snowman as shown or as desired.

Step: 5

For hat, cut a 3-inch piece of black Duck Tape and fold it lengthwise to expose only a ¼-inch of adhesive. Roll tape with adhesive side facing in, into a cylinder shape to form hat. Cut slits about ¼-inch wide on exposed adhesive and fold up and out.

Step: 6

For hat brim, stick two pieces of black Duck Tape together. Place top portion of hat created in previous step to the two pieces of Duck Tape. Use X-Acto knife to cut a circle around the top portion of the hat. Place hat on top of the snowman using a small bead of hot glue.

Step: 7

For scarf, cut a 6-inch piece of red Duck Tape and place on cutting surface. Place a piece of green Duck Tape on the cutting surface and cut strips on a diagonal. Place strips on red Duck Tape as shown. Cut red Duck Tape in half lengthwise to form a 1-inch x 6-inch piece. Remove one half of tape from cutting surface and fold in half lengthwise to eliminate adhesive. Cut slits on each end of the scarf to simulate fringe.

Step: 8

Wrap scarf around snowman’s neck.
