Pattern Stitch
Multiple of 2 sts
Row 1 (WS): With A, Purl.
Row 2 (RS): Knit.
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: *YO, k2tog, rep from * to end of row.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 6: Knit.
Row 7: Purl.
Row 8: With B, *k1, sl1, rep from * to end of row.
Rows 9-16: Work as rows 1-8, beginning with B, and switching to A on the final row.
Rep rows 1-16 for patt.
SCARF
With A, cast on 32 sts. Work in patt st until scarf measures 60" long. Bind off. Cut 80 12" pieces of fringe each in A and B. In groups of 5 strands, attach 16 groups of fringe to each side, alternating between color A and color B.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. Block.
