Project Instructions

Step: 1

Measure approximately 1-inch from all four sides, tape off and paint Teal. Let dry.

Step: 2

Using the width of the 2x12-inch Simply Stencil as measurement, tape off two strips as shown on front of chest and paint Warm White. When dry, tape off and paint remaining center of chest Sky Blue.

Step: 3

Approximately measure and tape off a 1 ½-inches border along outer edge of lid. Paint that and base with Medium Gray.

Step: 4

Paint edge around lid with Teal.

Step: 5

On sides of chest, tape off 1-inch and 1 ¼-inches stripes alternately and paint 1-inch stripes Terra Cotta, 1 ¼-inches stripes Forest Moss. On the olive stripes, measure and tape 1/8-inch stripes and paint Coffee Bean.

Step: 6

Tape off a 4 ½-inches square on either side of chest and paint Sky Blue.

Step: 7

Paint a 1/8-inch border of Warm White inside Medium Gray border on lid. Then paint a 1 3/8-inches border of Terra Cotta as shown.

Step: 8

Measure and tape off an 11 ¼-inches x 4 1/8-inches rectangle in center of lid and paint Sky Blue.

Step: 9

On either side of Sky Blue rectangle, measure and paint a 4 1/8-inches x 1 7/8-inches strip, paint Forest Moss. Then paint a 1/8-inch stripe of Coffee Bean in center of Forest Moss strip.

Step: 10

Locate stencil images from Stencil Décor and Simply Stencil packs. Tape off unnecessary images where required. Stencil images on Sky Blue fields using Coffee Bean and Terra Cotta, shading approximately in middle of images as shown.

Step: 11

Stencil used on two strips of Warm White are done shading Forest Moss and Terra Cotta alternately.

Step: 12

Images on base and lid are stenciled with Forest Moss. Element above square fields on both sides of box are Coffee Bean.
