Project Instructions

Step: 1

Condition clay for 2 minutes until soft using a pasta machine or acrylic roller. Flatten clay to approximately 1/8-inch thick by using either a pasta machine or acrylic roller. Lay clay on hard surface. Sprinkle a little corn starch on Texture Sheet from Clay Embossing Set to keep clay from sticking. Place Texture Sheet on clay. Use acrylic roller to emboss clay. Roll acrylic roller over Texture Sheet until an impression in made. Turn clay over and emboss the reverse side. Another option would be to sandwich clay between two Texture Sheets. Use acrylic roller to emboss each side. Remove Texture Sheets. Remove corn starch with soft brush.

Step: 2

Place clay on hard surface. Use craft knife to cut a 1-inch square. Use large needle or dimple tool to poke a hole in corner of square. Repeat this same procedure for remaining clay tiles.

Step: 3

Place squares on tray for baking. Bake in a preheated conventional or toaster oven at 275 degrees for 15 minutes per ¼-inch thickness. When finished, remove from oven and let cool before handling.

Step: 4

Use 2 needle nose pliers to twist open jump ring. Attach jump ring to clay tile and chain. Use pliers to twist jump ring back to closed position. Continue with remaining clay tiles.

Always follow manufacturer’s directions for baking polymer clay.
