Project Instructions

Step 1 Cut all wires to size.

Step 2 Lay wires out in this order: one 24 ga. wire, one 20 ga. wire and two 24 ga. wires.

Step 3 Tape wires together, keeping them flat and in the same order. (The side with the two 24 ga. wires will be the top of your pendant. Keep this in mind throughout design).

Step 4 Use Beadalon® chain nose pliers to make a small hook on the bottom of the 26 ga. wire, (about ¼").

Step 5 Find center of wire bundle and place 26 ga. hook at that location.

Step 6 Begin to wrap the 26 ga. wire around the bundle, 15 times. Be careful not to change the position of the wires in the bundle. Wraps should be taut and touching.

Step 7 Use Beadalon® chain nose pliers to tamp down binding wraps.

Step 8 About 1½" from the center binding, repeat Steps 6 and 7, but wrap only 10 times. NOTE: Wire cuts should be on same side with each binding.

Step 9 Repeat with other side. You should now have three bindings.

Step 10 Form wire around the button. You may use a small round object to make a perfectly round design.

Step 11 Where wires meet, bend them upward.

Step 12 Make another hook on your 26 ga. wire.

Step 13 Pull wires (at top of pendant) together and wrap with 26 ga. wire. Start closest to the pendant and work away from pendant. Make six wraps. DO NOT CUT THIS WIRE.

Step 14 Keeping wires on correct sides, separate, (keeping the 20 ga. wires straight up).

Step 15 Lay design down so the single 24 ga. is laying on your work surface. This is the back.

Step 16 Use larger side of baler and form a double bale at top, using the two center 20 ga. wires. Bend these wires toward the ‘back’ of your design.

Step 17 Trim ends of 20 ga. wires so they are even with your design.

Step 18 Use your Beadalon® round nose pliers and make a slight bend on ends.

Step 19 Using remaining 26 ga. binding wire, wrap around bale six times to secure. Trim and tuck in ends.

Step 20 Turn design over so single 24 ga. wire is on top. Again this is the back of your pendant. Use Beadalon® chain nose pliers and begin to gently pull wires, (between each binding), toward the center. Repeat at all four positions.

Step 21 Turn design over so front is on top.

Step 22 Pop button into the design, positioning the back loop directly above the center binding.

Step 23 Use chain nose pliers and repeat Step 20. Pull one wire at a time, however this time slightly twist the wire, giving it a zigzag shape.

Step 24 Repeat between all bindings. Your button should now be secured in place.

Step 25 Using your index finger, keeping all wires flat, begin to bend the three wires to the left of your pendant. The wires should come around the front and around the back of your bale.

Step 26 Bring around to the front of the pendant and trim the wires so they overlap the front wires by ¼".

Step 27 Use round nose pliers to wrap these wires around the other wires. This will secure your first two wires.

Step 28 Use your chain nose pliers to make same pattern as on the front of the pendant.

Step 29 Repeat with other side.

Step 30 Use toothpick to lift and pull each layer. This will give it a 3D effect and allow you to position the wires at your preferred location.

Step 31 Run hand over ends to ensure there are no sharp edges. If there are, use round nose pliers to tuck them in.
