Step: 2

Tie ribbon into bow around journal spine.

Step: 3

Cut leaf border: Using Life is a Beach cartridge and green cardstock, select Border feature and cut one 2-inch <Leaf1>. Ink edges. Adhere to journal as shown.

Step: 4

Adhere a strip of ribbon across journal cover as shown.

Step: 5

Cut escape: Using brown cardstock, select Title Words feature and cut one 2-inch <Leaf1>. Adhere to cover as shown.

Step: 6

Cut leaf: Using green cardstock, cut one 1½-inch <Leaf1>. Adhere to title, layering over brown leaf. Tie jute through buttonholes and adhere one button to leaf.

Step: 7

Cut circle: Using Plantin SchoolBook cartridge and green cardstock, cut one 3½-inch <circle>. Use alphabet stamps and brown ink to stamp SUMMER VACATION JOURNAL on circle as shown. Adhere to journal and trim excess. Accent with button as shown.

Step: 8

Cut charm: Using Life is a Beach cartridge and brown cardstock, select Charms feature and cut one 2-inch <Leaf1>. Tie to ribbon on spine using jute.
