Material List

  • Walnut Hollow® Creative HotMarks™
  • 12” x 12” Cardstock- 2 Sheets Each of Red, Tan and Green
  • Patterned Scrapbook Paper- 1 Sheet
  • Glitter Pens- Red
  • Rubber Stamp- Invitation
  • Ink Pad- Green
  • Paper Adhesive
  • Pencil
  • Pliers
  • Scissors
  • Small Star
  • Tape
 

Project Instructions

Step: 1

Before using the Creative HotMarks™, read all instructions and follow all safety precautions. Attach the Circle Point to Creative HotMarks™ and tighten with pliers. Use tape to secure stand to hard surface. Place Creative HotMarks™ on stand. Plug into electric outlet, press switch “ON”, and let heat 4 -5 minutes.


Step: 2

Cut one 11” x 6” piece from red cardstock. Fold in half creating a 5 ½” x 6” card.


Step: 3

Using pencil, trace 1 tree pattern onto green cardstock. Cut on traced line.


Step: 4

Using the Circle Stamping Point, hot stamp onto green cardstock tree. Remove Circle Point with pliers.


Step: 5

Attach Tapered Point on Creative HotMarks™ with pliers.


Step: 6

Cut one 2” x 4 ¼” rectangle from tan cardstock. Using the Creative HotMarks, create a dot design around the perimeter of rectangle by touching the Point onto the cardstock. Unplug tool and allow to cool.


Step: 7

Cut one 4 ¾” x 5 ½” from patterned paper. Layer papers onto card and glue in place. Glue tree onto card.


Step: 8

Using glitter pen apply around tree and inside hot stamped circles.


Step: 9

Glue star to the top of tree.


Step: 10

Rubber stamp invitation greeting onto card.


Tips

The Creative HotMarks™ works best when used on a glass surface to ensure work area will not be damaged from heat. Placing several layers of scrap paper under the cardstock or paper will result in a better hot stamped image. Always use pliers to attach and remove the Points.
