Before painting, prewash shirt to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener.
Enlarge guitar and flame patterns to desired size. Trace onto freezer paper. Cut out to create stencils, using craft knife and cutting mat.
Position stencils onto shirt. Iron into place.
Insert Fashion Form inside layers of fabric to prevent paint from seeping through.
Shake bottles of paint well. Pour a puddle of each color onto foil. Lightly sponge Sunshine Yellow onto top of flame, Mandarin Orange onto center and Crimson Red onto bottom.
Create a tan color by mixing Sunshine Yellow, Mandarin Orange and a touch of Royal Blue. Sponge mixture onto neck of guitar and onto rectangular pieces below neck.
Apply Sunshine Yellow onto center piece and knobs, using flat paintbrush. Sponge Royal Blue onto remainder of guitar. Let dry.
Place only guitar portion of stencil over a painted flame opposite guitar. Do not remove flame portion of stencil. Sponge Glitter Bond into stencil. Gently pour Royal Blue Fashion Glitter into wet glue. Lay a sheet of paper over glitter. Press gently to set glitter. Tap excess glitter onto sheet of paper and return to container. Repeat procedure for each flame.
Working in small sections at a time, repeat procedure to apply Royal Blue Glitter onto blue sections of large guitar. Let dry completely. Brush off excess glitter.
Apply Gold Glitter onto Sunshine Yellow areas of guitar and knobs and onto top of flames. Apply Red Glitter at base of flame and a mixture of Gold Ultra-Fine Hologram and Red onto center.
Mark fret lines on guitar neck, using chalk pencil. Brush glue onto lines, using liner brush. Lightly sprinkle with Gold Ultra-Fine Hologram glitter.
Lightly draw six lines for guitar strings, using yardstick to keep lines true. Brush glue over lines. Apply Gold Ultra-Fine Glitter.
Accent tips of flames with Gold Ultra-Fine Hologram glitter.
Let dry completely. Brush off excess glitter.
Wait 72 hours to wash. Machine wash warm on gentle cycle. Do not use harsh detergents or bleach. Remove promptly and line dry. To iron, turn garment inside out, being careful not to touch design with iron. Do not dry clean.
