Flash Clutch (Knit)

When working with Starbella™ Flash, gauge is not critical. Work evenly throughout. Designed by Mary Catherine Black.

Material List

  • Premier® Yarns Starbella™ Flash Yarn – Peacock (A; 2 Balls) and Marble (B; 1 Ball)
  • US 13 Double Pointed Needles, Smaller Circular Needle Cord (20")
  • Lining Fabric (Approximately ½ Yard)
  • Zipper, 9"
 

Project Instructions

Using Starbella™ as a tape yarn, with color A, over 3 DPNs, cast on 3 sts.

Round 1: Kfb in each stitch.

Round 2: Kfb the first stitch on first DPN,knit remaining stiches on needle, repeat for all 3 DPNs. Repeat round 2 until there are 63 sts, 21 on each needle. Begin working through the top loops of Starbella™ yarn, allowing it to ruffle. Next Round: knit all sts. Repeat this round 13 more times.

Switch to color B. Knit 6 more rounds. Bind off.

Handle

Cast on 3 sts. Work in icord (*knit 3, slide stitches to other end of DPN, rep from *) for 8". Sew to one side of the bag.

Finishing

Using the bag as a model, sew a lining for the bag. Attach the zipper to the lining, then sew the lining to the bag.
