Project Instructions

Small Canvases

Basecoat canvases Parchment. Let dry.

Pour puddle of Butter Pecan on palette. Dip damp sponge into paint. Blot on palette to distribute paint. Sponge over canvases as much or as little as you like.

Take prints out of packaging. Tear edges.

Decoupage to canvases where desired. After the first coat of Mod Podge is dry, gently sand edges of paper to distress further. Apply second coat of Mod Podge to cover entire canvas. Let dry.

Using liner brush and Van Dyke Brown, extend vines from print to canvas. Let dry.

Apply rub on words as desired.

Large Canvas
Basecoat canvas True Burgundy. Let dry.

Brush Crackle Medium to cover entire canvas. The thicker you apply the Crackle Medium, the larger the cracks will be. Let dry at least two hours. Crackle Medium must be dry to the touch before proceeding.

Brush a coat of Butter Pecan over dry Crackle Medium. Don’t brush in one place too much. It will disturb the crackling.

Take the print out of the package. Tear edges.

Decoupage to canvas where desired. After the first coat of Mod Podge is dry, gently sand edges of paper to distress further. To distress further if desired, sand the face of the print. Apply second coat of Mod Podge to cover entire canvas. Let dry.

Using liner brush and Van Dyke Brown, paint extra vines on canvas. Let dry.

Apply rub on words as desired.
