Project Instructions

Step 1: Select 2 prints from the stack.

Step 2: Cut the 1st wide enough to fit around the outside of the jar. Punch both of the longer sides with the decorative border punch and then adhere in place.

Step 3: Cut a strip from the 2nd print that is 1” less wide than the first print. Sew a straight stitch along both the longer sides using your sewing machine. Adhere this in place around the jar as well, centering it between the outside borders of the 1st print.

Step 4: Select the diamond print from the stack. Cut a strip wide enough to cover the rim of the jar and adhere in place.

Step 5: Select 2-3 prints from the stack. Use these to create a 3-dimensional flower for the lid by cutting out several layers of flowers with your die cut machine. *Note: you can use the prints for different sections in the flower or alternate them between each layer. Adhere the pieces together, adding a yellow bead in the center to finish the flower grouping.

Step 6: Cut a few leaves from a coordinating print in the stack and adhere them below the flower. Adhere this grouping to the lid of the jar. If desired, add some curled strips of paper and butterflies cut from the stack.

Step 7: Create 2 mini flags for the front of the jar from different prints in the stack. Attach each one to the end of a toothpick, adhering and/or sewing in place. Add them to the jar, slipping them in behind the middle bands.

Step 8: Create a dangle for the front of the jar. To start, tie a bow with the cream ribbon. String the small key and another yellow bead onto a section of jewelry wire. Twist this tightly to the center of the bow, trimming the ends when your desired look is achieved. Adhere to the front of the jar, just below the center point of the flags.

Step 9: Insert desired gift and deliver to recipient!
