Floral Heart Topiary

Project Instructions
Step: 1
Basecoat clay pot with a few coats of Dusty Rose; let dry. Mist pot with water then immediately apply Almond. Using paper towel, pat water from surface to reveal underlying color and unique pattern. Repeat technique with either color to create desired finish. When dry, apply a topcoat of Super Surface Sealer, if desired.
Step: 2
Cut floral foam to fit inside clay pot; glue into place.
Step: 3
Insert and secure branch sticks into pot to create topiary base. Mound moss on top of floral foam and around sticks.
Step: 4
At center of heart bottom, cut a small hole in straw and insert onto topiary base; glue to secure in place.
Step: 5
Spray back of sheet moss with Tack 2000 and adhere to heart, covering entire form.
Step: 6
Clip ivy into individual strands, insert stems into floral foam and loosely entwine ivy around heart. Secure tips with greening pins.
Step: 7
Cut stems and glue silk flowers onto heart. For larger flowers such as hydrangeas and lilacs, cut blossoms into smaller clusters if desired.
Step: 8
Loosely entwine ribbon throughout heart.
Tips
Read and follow manufacturer's instructions for all products used.If used as a centerpiece, finish both sides of topiary.
