Floral Tile Coasters

Project Instructions

Clean and dry your tiles.

While they finish drying, select your desired prints from the Habitat paper pad. Measure and cut a section of paper for each tile.

Once your tiles are dry, apply a thin coat of Mod Podge® to each tile. Position your paper on the center of each tile and press down, smoothing out any bubbles underneath so that the paper is flat against the tile. Allow this to dry.

Apply two to three more coats over the top of each tile, allowing each coat to dry in between.

After the last Mod Podge® coat has dried, take your tiles outside. Apply two coats of acrylic spray to the top of each one, allowing the first layer to dry in between applications.

Stack four together. Wrap your ribbon around all four and tie a bow in the middle of the one on top.

Add a tag or give away as is!

Tips

•When measuring the size of paper needed to cover your tiles, take off ¼” to ½” from the measurement from side-to-side. This will allow for a “tile border” between the edges of the paper and the edges of the tile. •When adhering your paper in place, we would recommend working in groups of 4. This helps to ensure a great look for your finished product. • If desired, add felt pads to the bottom of each coaster. This will help keep the rough side of the tile off your wood. • Change the prints, add solids, or ink the edges of the squares to give each coaster an individualized look.
