Fluffy’s Toy Tote

Material List

  • Tulip® Sticky Fabric Stencils™- Animals 4 x 4
  • Tulip® 3D Fashion Paint™- Pink Slick®
  • Tulip® Soft Fabric Paint™- Glacier White Matte and Crimson Red Matte
  • Tote Bag- Black
  • Cardboard to Fit Inside Tote
  • Scissors
  • Foil
  • Straight Pin
  • Wedge Makeup Sponge
  • Paper Towels
  • White Chalk

Project Instructions

Step: 1

Cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside tote.

Step: 2

Take kitty face stencil from Sticky Fabric Stencil™ package and peel backing, removing all smaller pieces. Press stencil onto center of bag. Replace eyes, nose and mouth pieces. Press a fingernail along inside cut edges to prevent seepage when applying paint.

Step: 3

Cut apart paw design and press each paw stencil onto bag where shown.

Step: 4

Squeeze a small puddle of Crimson Red and Glacier White Tulip® Soft Fabric Paint™ onto foil. Use scissors to cut wedge sponge in half lengthwise then in half again for a smaller sponge. Tap a flat end of sponge into Crimson Red then tap off excess onto foil. Pounce paint into paw stencils, adding more paint to sponge as needed for an even coat of color. Carefully peel off stencils then repeat step, placing each stencil on bag where needed, as shown in photo. Stencil Glacier White into kitty face.

Step: 5

Carefully remove kitty stencil from bag, using a straight pin to remove smaller pieces from design.

Step: 6

Use white chalk to lightly trace on your cat’s name, followed by the word “Toys,” if desired.

Step: 7

Start flow of Pink Slick 3D paint on paper towel using and even pressure on bottle for a smooth line. Trace chalk lines with paint then add random dots around bag and fill in nose.

Step: 8

Let dry and follow label instructions for care of tote.


A damp paper towels can be used to remove chalk line after paint is thoroughly dry.
