If using unfinished wood, sand lightly. Apply a basecoat or varnish as desired.

Double load the #16 flat brush with Yellow Ochre and Thicket. Using the flat side of the brush, and keeping Thicket to the outside edge, paint the large leaves.

Step: 4

Occasionally add a touch of Forest Moss to add variation.

Step: 5

Using the same brush and colors, paint large One Stroke leaves throughout the design.

Step: 6

Pull stems into each leaf as soon as you paint it, using the chisel edge of the brush and leading with the Yellow Ochre side.

Berries

Double load the #16 Flat with Berry Wine and Engine Red. Using the flat side of the brush and picking up paint often, paint the berries.

Use the tip of the Burnt Umber to add curlicues and accent some of the stems.
