- 5-inch x 23-inch Styrofoam® Cone
- Liquitex® Gel Medium
- Acrylic Paint, Turquoise
- Diamond Dust or Glitter, White
- Wire-edged Ribbon, color(s) of choice
- Blumenthal Rhinestone Buttons
- Tinsel Ribbon
- Glitter Picks, Silver
- Branch Sprays, Silver
- Straight Pins or Sequin Pins
- Large Martini Glass
- Silver Leaf
- Silver Leaf Adhesive
- Double-sided Tape
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Paintbrush
- Craft Glue
- Paper Towels
- Paper Plate
- Low Heat Glue Gun (adult use only)
Project Instructions
Apply silver leaf to inside of martini glass following package instructions. Set aside to dry.
Paint cone and let dry.
Paint coat of gel medium on cone and sprinkle with glitter, shake off excess and save for another project. Let dry.
to make one type of ribbon flower, cut a 12-inch piece of ribbon. At one side make small scissor snip and tear off wire edging. Reveal wire at each end of ribbon and pull tight to make circle, twist ends of wire to secure.
To make another type of flower, use scissors to snip in center of ribbon and tear in half. Gather as above.
Layer the flowers together, securing with glue. Glue rhinestone buttons in place for flower centers.
Shape tinsel ribbon as desired and pin to tree as shown.
Add flowers to tree where desired using glue and pins to secure in place.
Cut small length of boa and glue around ribbon flower.
Cut picks and sprays apart and add to tree where desired. Secure with pins and glue.
Cut bird from cardstock, add gel medium to front and sprinkle on glitter, shake off excess and save. Glue bird to tree.
Add sprays as desired.
Turn martini glass upside down and place tree on top.
