Fun Floral Pens
From writing checks to making grocery lists, writing is a pretty mundane part of everyday life. Why not make things a little more fun by using a gorgeous customized pen? In just a few minutes you can take a boring plastic pen from blah to beautiful! Give it a try!
Material List
- Plastic Pen (3)
- Artificial Flowers (Gerbera Daisy and Gerbera Daisy Rhinestone)
- Tim Holtz® Tissue Paper Tape
- Bead Landing™ Crafting Beads
- Hemp Cord
- Aleene's® Fast Grab™ Tacky Glue
- Low Heat Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Scrapbook Paper- Sweet Threads
- Celebrate It® Tulle- Gold
- Ashland™ Fun with Flowers- Purple
- Ribbon- Rainbow
Project Instructions
Green Floral Pen
Pull off the plastic end on the top of the pen and discard.
Wrap the barrel of the pen with Tim Holtz® Tissue Paper Tape. Add a small amount of tacky glue to the end to seal.
Pull off the floral stem of the daisy.
Insert the flower into the top of the pen and hot glue in place.
Wrap hemp cord around the top of the pen under the flower and tie a knot. Leave enough hemp strings to add beads, as shown. Tie a knot under the beads to secure.

Red Floral Pen
Pull off the plastic end on the top of the pen and discard.
Wrap the barrel of the pen with Tim Holtz® Tissue Paper Tape. Add a small amount of tacky glue to the end to seal.
Pull off the floral stem of the daisy.
Insert the flower into the top of the pen and hot glue in place.
Cut a leaf shape out of scrapbook paper and glue to the base of the flower.
Wrap gold tulle around the top of the pen and tie. Leave some fringe for decoration.

Purple Floral Pen
Pull off the plastic end on the top of the pen and discard.
Wrap the barrel of the pen with Tim Holtz® Tissue Paper Tape. Add a small amount of tack glue to the end to seal.
Use glue to reinforce the flowers to the wire, then push them into top of the pen and glue to hold in place.
Tie a ribbon around the top of the pen under the flowers.
