Step: 1

Make about 8-10 triple points - Layer black 1 ½ inch ribbon for base of point, with 1inch red ribbon and ¾ inch black ribbon printed with red metallic “X” design down center of each. Staple each point twice to secure and then staple to backing circle spacing evenly all around.

Step: 2

Prepare flower and attach to the backing with the points.

Step: 3

Make a backing with basic double backing streamers in red and black - take 1 piece of each color of the 1 yard ribbon, lay one on top of the other and fold in ½ so that the right side of the ribbon still shows on both sides (the top will make a point). Then staple the points onto another cardboard backing circle in 1 row of 2 and 1 row of 3 double streamers - overlapping slightly.

Step: 4

Make a “Homecoming” loop streamer - take the 6 inch pieces of 1 ½ inch wide red ribbon, fold in ½ and staple to form loop. Staple loops on 1 yard piece of 1 ½ inch red ribbon starting at bottom and slightly overlapping to cover staples. Put 1 black sticker letter on each loop to spell HOMECOMING. Staple on mum in center front of streamers.

Step: 5

Add onto streamer backing with staples or hot glue
2 Silver basket ball chain
2 Silver football and helmet chain
2 Silver interlocking chain
2 Silver star garland
Red and black braid
10 silver curling ribbon
10 assorted printed ribbons in red and black

Step: 6

Hot glue onto flower
Large red and black curved “Homecoming” banner
Small rubber basket ball
Basket ball hoop with backboard

Step: 7

Hot glue or tie the following embellishments as shown
Red and black “We are #1” football
White and black “Are you ready for some football” circle
Large 3D silver star
Several silver whistles and cowbells
Red and black football player

Step: 8

Hot glue the flower/point backing circle to the streamer backing.

Step: 9

Hot glue the garter to the back of the streamer backing and hot glue the 3rd cardboard backing circle on top of that to finish.
