Here's a neat tip from designer Denise Yezbak Moore, "When creating a project with dangle beads, consider completing all the dangles first. I am more consistent with my loops if I create dangles in one sitting."

Material List

  • Flat Oval, 10x13mm – Amber (27)
  • Glass Square, 10mm – Rainbow (112)
  • Round Dyed Jade, 6mm – Orange (29)
  • AB Glass Round, 8mm -- Amber (112)
  • Toggle Clasp, Large – Gold-tone
  • Head Pins, 2" – Antique Gold-tone (112)

Project Instructions

Step 1 Using 18" of chain, open end ring on chain and attach to toggle. Repeat on other side.

Step 2 Using 11" of chain, count down 16 links from toggle and attach chain. Repeat on other side of necklace.

Step 3 Dangle 1 - Using 2" eye pin, string amber oval and form a simple loop. Using 2" eye pin, string rainbow square and form a simple loop. Attach loop to amber oval loop. Using 2" head pin, string round and form a simple loop. Attach loop to rainbow loop. Repeat 27 times.

Step 4 Dangle 2 - Using 2" eye pin, string 6mm round and form a simple loop. Using 2" eye pin, string rainbow and form a simple loop. Attach loop to 6mm round loop. Using 2" head pin, string amber oval and form a simple loop. Attach loop to rainbow loop. Repeat 27 times.

Step 5 Row 1 - Count down 18 links and attach Dangle 1. Count two links down and attach Dangle 2. Repeat Dangle 1 (12 times), and Dangle 2 (11 times), alternating on every other loop.

Step 6 Row 2 – Count down 14 links and attach Dangle 2. Count two links down and attach Dangle 1. Repeat Dangle 2 (15 times), and Dangle 1 (14 times), alternating on every other loop.
