Project Instructions

Step: 1

Paint Circles Sheer Sheet with brown; let dry.

Step: 2

If using 12-inch x 12-inch x 1-inch squares, skip to next step. If using 36-inch x 12-inch x 1-inch sheets use ruler and pencil to score each foam sheet to create three 12-inch x 12-inch squares. Choose one of the following two cutting techniques: Wax serrated knife with an old candle. Holding foam sheet firmly on a flat surface, extend one end and cut across the score line, using knife like a saw. Or stand the sheet on its edge and hold a 20-inch length of dental floss along the scored line, positioning one hand at the bottom of the board and the other at the top; draw the dental floss down through the foam sheet along the scored line. Cut three 12-inch x 12-inch squares from each sheet. (Note: There will be two unused squares that can be saved for another project).

Step: 3

Use putty knife to spread a thin, even coat of glue on foam square and adhere one sheet of paper centered. Smooth paper with fingers. Repeat to cover all foam squares. Let dry. (Note: Papers may appear wavy at first, but will smooth out as glue dries.)

Step: 4

Using glue gun, glue Circles sheer sheet onto paper-covered squares; let dry.

Step: 5

Beginning and ending at one lower corner, use glue gun to secure ribbon around edges of each foam square. Trim excess allowing a bit of overlap.

Step: 6

Use level and poster putty to secure squares to wall as shown. Or, glue sawtooth picture hangers to back. For additional hold, insert and glue two straight pins through holes in sawtooth picture hanger.
