Project Instructions
Step: 1
Spray entire file box - inside and out - with spray sealer. Allow to dry.
Step: 2
Use sandpaper to lightly sand sealed surface. Use paper towel to wipe away sandpaper dust.
Step: 3
Use foam brush to apply two coats of Metallic Sequin Black acrylic paint to file box allowing paint to dry between coats. Allow second coat to dry at least one hour.
Step: 4
Use small flat bristle brush to apply two coats of Metallic Pure Gold paint to the flat edges of the top of the file box.
Step: 5
In a well ventilated area, spray a light coat of stencil spray adhesive to the back of the large fern stencil. Allow to dry at least 15 minutes.
Step: 6
Following photo for placement, press stencil onto file box sides. Use stencil brush and Metallic Pure Gold paint to stencil in fern designs onto all four sides of box. Allow to dry at least two hours.
Step: 7
Use the liner brush and Pure Metallic Gold to brush loose lines around each leaf and stem and to create random free flowing tendrils. Allow to dry several hours.
Step: 8
In a well ventilated area, spray stenciled file box with two light coats of spray sealer allowing to dry between coats. Allow second coat to dry overnight before enjoying your file box.
