Project Instructions

Step: 1

Black & White Bookmark
Cut an 8-inch length of ribbon.


Step: 2

Place one end of ribbon between a ribbon clamp. Use needle nose pliers to close clamp, holding the ribbon in place. Repeat on opposite end of ribbon.


Step: 3

Attach charms to ends of ribbon clamps with jump rings.


Step: 4

Red Velvet Bookmark
Cut an 8-inch length of ribbon.


Step: 5

Place one end of ribbon between a ribbon clamp. Use needle nose pliers to close clamp, holding the ribbon in place. Repeat on opposite end of ribbon.


Step: 6

Attach charms to end of ribbon clamp with a jump ring.


Step: 7

Use head pin for dangles: Place a green and red bead onto a head pin. Bend head pin at end of bead to a 90-degree angle, cut pin, leaving ¼-inch. Use round nose pliers to bend pin back around to make loop.Click to see technique for making loop. Attach loop to end of ribbon clamp.


Step: 8

Green Velvet Bookmark
Cut an 8-inch length of ribbon.


Step: 9

Place one end of ribbon between the ribbon clamp. Use needle nose pliers to close clamp, holding the ribbon in place. Repeat on opposite end.


Step: 10

Attach charms to end of ribbon clamp with a jump ring.


Step: 11

Use head pins for pearl dangles: Place pearl onto head pin. Bend head pin at end of bead to 90-degree angle, cut pin, leaving ¼-inch. Use round nose pliers to bend pin back around to make loop.Click to see technique for making loop. Attach loop to end of ribbon clamp.


Step: 12

Add jump rings with pearl dangle added to create length. Attach to clamp with jump ring.


Tips

Use photo as a guide and follow manufacturer’s instructions for all products used.

Be sure when choosing your ribbon that you match the clamp to the width of the ribbon. Cut ribbon will fray if the clamp is smaller than the ribbon.
