Halloween Sparkle Spider Cake
- Cake Recipe (or Mix)
- Round Cake Pan
- Frosting – White
- Wilton® Color Mist™ Food Color Spray – Purple
- Wilton® Sparkle Gel™ – Black
- Wilton® Cake Sparkles™ – Black
- Charger Plate
- Plate, Small – Clear
- Icing Spatula (or Spreader)
- Plastic Spiders (Food-safe)
- Spider, Large
- Paper Plate
Bake cake rounds as noted in recipe (or on package). Let cool.
On one of the cake layers, frost the top. Layer second round on top.
Place cake on clear plate and then center onto charger.
Frost entire cake.
Spray cake as desired with purple Color Mist™ Food Color Spray.
Draw spider web on top with black Sparkle Gel™.
Sprinkle the perimeter of the charger plate around the cake with black Cake Sparkles™.
Sprinkle spiders with black Cake Sparkles™ over paper plate and embellish cake.
Using a paper plate to catch excess Cake Sparkles™ makes it easy to return to container for future use.
