“Handelion” Apron
Material List
- Tulip® Soft Fabric Paint – Green Velveteen and Yellow Velveteen
- Tulip® Dimensional Fabric Paint – Pink Slick
- Apron
- Paper Plate
- Sponges (Craft or Cosmetic)
- Paintbrush
- Baby Wipes
Project Instructions
Step 1 Place apron on a flat covered surface.
Step 2 Squeeze out each color of soft paint onto individual paper plates.
Step 3 Dip sponge into Yellow Velveteen soft paint and apply to child’s hand.
Step 4 Have child spread out fingers and then carefully place hand onto apron and gently press on child’s hand.
Step 5 Slowly remove hand and repeat application process. Place each handprint next to the previous one, creating a circular shape. Refer to photo. Clean hand with baby wipes.
Step 6 Use paintbrush to draw a flower stem by starting at the bottom of the “handelion” and paint a line down to the bottom of the apron.
Step 7 Apply Green Velveteen soft paint to the child’s hand with a sponge and place along the stem of the flower. Repeat as desired.
Step 8 Starting in the center of the flower squeeze out dimensional paint, moving in a circular motion and moving outward with each rotation.
