Project Instructions

Step: 1

Insert several pieces of scratch paper into shirt to prevent paint seepage to back.

Step: 2

Squeeze puddles of Turquoise and Royal Blue Soft Fabric Paint onto a piece of foil. Use 1” foam brush to apply a thin even coat of Turquoise to child’s hand.

Step: 3

Press hand where shown on shirt, thumbs toward top, pressing fingers to fabric.

Step: 4

Repeat with other hand, leaving about a 1” space between palms. Wipe off hand with paper towels.

Step: 5

Brush Royal Blue Soft Fabric Paint onto hand then press in place, slightly overlapping first print. Repeat with other hand. Wipe hands clean.

Step: 6

Squeeze a puddle of Purple 3D Fashion Paint onto foil. To create body and head of butterfly, dip middle finger into paint then press onto shirt between handprints, dipping into paint for each print.

Step: 7

To create hearts, dip finger into a color and press at a slight angle on shirt. Dip into paint again then press at an angle in the opposite direction, creating a “V” shape. Another smaller dot can be added at the bottom of “V” if needed. Create hearts randomly on shirt with all colors. Let dry.

Step: 8

Use Purple 3D Fashion Paint to create swirled antennae and letters on shirt.

Step: 9

Start Sparkle Star Glitter Fabric Spray Paint on paper towel then lightly spray front of shirt.

Have wet paper towels or baby wipes handy to clean paint from hands and fingers.
