Step: 1

Cut a piece of poster board or card stock that measures 12” wide x 14” tall. The tree can only be 12” wide to fit on the foam but you can make it as tall as you’d like. Fold the paper in half lengthwise, to measure 6” wide x 14” tall (or taller). Starting at the top of the fold freehand a tree silhouette along the fold, the bottom branch should be at least 6” wide to create the 12” wide tree when unfolded. (see photo)

Step: 2

Unfold the pattern and pin to the Styrofoam sheet. Cut out the pattern following the instructions on the STYROCUTTER plus packaging. You will need to cut out 2 trees. To make the tree dimensional you will need to cut a ½” wide x 7” long channel into each of the tree pieces to allow them to slide together. Cut one channel out the top of one tree and another channel out of the bottom of the other tree. Slide the bottom channel into the top channel and the tree will stand. (See photo)

Step: 3

Use the STYROCUTTER plus to add the decorations to your tree. With the tree standing pierce through the tree with the cutter and use it like your holding a pencil to draw decorations into the tree. (See photo)

Step: 4

Slide the tree apart and brush tree pieces with tacky glue and sprinkle with Diamond Dust. For a heavier application pour the Diamond Dust into a large flat container and press the pieces into the Diamond Dust. Apply glue and Diamond Dust to all sides of both tree pieces. Use a toothpick to clean the glue and Diamond Dust from the cutout decorations you created with the STYROCUTTER® plus.
