Heaven's Stripes Blanket (Crochet)

  • RED HEART® Baby Clouds™ Yarn – Blue Sky (A; 3 Skeins) and Cloud (B; 2 Skeins)
  • Crochet Hook, Size 10mm [US N-15]
  • Yarn Needle
 

Project Instructions

With A, ch 70.

Row1 (Right Side): 2 Dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip next 2 ch, (sc, 2 dc) all in next ch; repeat from * to last 3 ch; skip 2 ch, sc in last ch; turn.

 

Row 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc,* skip 2 dc, (sc, 2 dc) all in next sc; repeat from * to last 3 sts; skip 2 dc, sc in top of turning ch; turn.

 

Repeat Row 2 for pattern in the following color sequence:

 

4 rows A, [2 rows B, 4 rows A] twice, 4 rows B, [2 rows A, 4 rows B] twice, 4 rows A, [2 rows B, 4 rows A] twice. Do not fasten off but turn to work Edging:

 

With right side facing, ch 1, sc evenly spaced around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with a slip st in first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Tips

GAUGE: 3 shells = 4½", 4 rows = 3" in pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
