Project Instructions

Cut 14" piece of Beadalon® 22 ga. wire.

Gently slide wire through center of wire square and slide to center of the wire.

NOTE: Wire square is tight so the wire may not feed directly through the center.

Place wire square over desired ring size, (on the mandrel).

Wrap each wire around the mandrel two times. You should end up with four wires. Be sure to keep each wire flat and don’t allow them to overlap.

Wrap each wire under the wire square to steady.

Remove from mandrel.

Take one of the wire ends and slide it through the ring and wrap it around one side of the ring (close to the square). Make sure wraps are tight and touching. Trim the end of that wire.

Repeat with opposite wire.

Cut 26 ga. wire.

Fold 26 ga. wire in half by bending in center.

Slide the 26 ga. wire over the bottom of the ring (in the center).

Working one side at a time, begin wrapping the 26 ga. wire around the bottom of the ring by using a sewing motion. Each wrap should be tight and touching the previous wrap. Also, be careful to keep all under wires flat and avoid overlapping.

Continue toward top of ring.

Once you have reached the top of the ring, find a gap under the wire square and wrap 26 ga. around that wire. Do this two or three times to secure 26 ga. wire. Trim excess wire.

Repeat with opposite side and trim excess wire.

Slide ring back on mandrel.

Using Beadalon® nylon hammer, gently hammer the underside of the ring where the 26 ga. wires are wrapped. This will flatten the wires.

Tips

TIPS : Wire squares come in multiple colors (this project shown in silver). You can chose different types of Beadalon® wire, e.g. Antique Brass, or Non-Tarnish Silver Plated, with other wire square colors.
