Material List
- Martha Stewart Crafts™ Multi-Surface Acrylic Craft Paint, Satin – Green Curry, Surf and Wedding Cake
- Birdhouse with Flower, Hexagon
- Brush Basin (or Water Container)
- Paper Towels
- Foam Plate
- Sandpaper, Fine Grit
Project Instructions
Paint the roof and body of the birdhouse with Surf. Paint the base with Green Curry on the top and Wedding Cake on the edges as pictured. Paint the perches and metal flower with Wedding Cake. Let dry.
Once paint has dried thoroughly, sand smooth using fine grit sandpaper. Reapply base coat colors from Step 1.
Apply liberal coat of Weather Crackle Effect to roof. Let dry.
Paint Wedding Cake on roof in smooth, even strokes, being careful not to over-stroke. Cracks will appear immediately. Note: The thicker the paint application, the wider the cracks.
