Project Instructions

Wash T-shirt in cool water, dry and press.

Enlarge pattern to desired size to fit along one side of T-shirt.

Trace pattern (download below) onto freezer paper, then cut out stencil using craft knife. Position stencil on T-shirt and iron on, making sure edges are well sealed.

Insert cardboard between layers of T-shirt to prevent paint seepage.

Use craft sponge to pounce Glacier White paint along edges of flower, lightly gradating to center area. Pounce a second coat along edges and stem for a bolder white. Let dry. Remove cardboard insert.

Lay plastic tablecloth on work surface and T-shirt on top. Spritz with water to dampen.

Prepare Teal dye as directed. Pour prepared dye in empty spray bottle and spray back of T-shirt. Turn over to front and spray. Let dye set six to eight hours.

Machine wash T-shirt with soap in cool water. Dry and press with iron on reverse side of painted flower.

If desired, brush more Glacier White along flower edges and stem to make them pop.

Brush a little Ebony in center of flower.

Using black dimensional paint, draw strands coming from center for stamens. Make dots on ends of stamens. Let dry.

Use Tulip® Cordless Heat-Setting Tool to heat set crystals randomly around flower as desired.

Use Tulip® Soft Fabric Paint™ as resist and paint floral prior to dyeing.
