Project Instructions
Un-nest eggs. Keep each egg snapped together.
Tear strips of newspaper. Coat paper with Mod Podge® and cover egg. Overlap paper to completely cover egg. Let dry.
Paint body flesh color by mixing pink and white to desired shade. Let dry.
For “Male” Eggs
Cut pants from gray felt and glue to bottom of egg.
Cut checkered bandana into 2 pieces to desired length, roll into tube and secure with glue to form legs. Lightly stuff with Poly-fil®.
Glue legs to bottom of egg.
Paint features on front of egg for face.
Shape gold wire into glasses shape and glue in place, for Mr. Humpty.
For the little boy Humpty, cut a strip of black felt and form a circle, secure with glue. Cut a square and glue on top of circle. Glue hat to head. Add ribbon to top of hat and front of shirt and glue a button as shown.
For “Female” Eggs
Paint body and features.
Unravel yarn to create hair, fluff and glue on top of egg.
Cut checkered bandana into 2 pieces to desired length, roll into tube and secure with glue to form legs. Lightly stuff with Poly-fil®.
Glue legs to bottom of egg.
For Mrs. Humpty, roll 4"x5" piece of felt creating tube for hat. Cut 5" circle and glue tube to top for brim. Glue to top of hair.
For the little girl Humpty, create a headband with felt and embellish with buttons.
