Project Instructions

Step: 1

Attach the Hot Knife Point to the Creative Versa-Tool™. Tighten with pliers. Secure stand to a glass mat (to protect your work surface) with tape. Place tool on stand. Plug into electric outlet. Let heat for 4-5 minutes. Practice using the tool before starting project.

Step: 2

Draw freehand with disappearing marker, or use a stencil, to create the facial openings and the star openings. Use Hot Knife Point to cut out traced lines. The cut portion can be pushed to the inside of the pumpkin.

Step: 3

To stack pumpkins:
Cut an opening on bottom of pumpkin head large enough so stem of bottom pumpkin can fit through it. The two pumpkins will be hot glued together, at a later time, before adding collar. Use Hot Knife Point to cut a hole large enough for fingers to fit through the top of the head of the pumpkin to allow foam pieces to be inserted behind cut facial features. The hole will be covered with a hat.

Step: 4

Use Hot Knife to cut black adhesive foam sheet large enough to cover eyes and mouth. Reach through head opening and adhere behind eyes and mouth cutouts.

Step: 5

To create hat:
Mark a 6½-inch circle on black extra thick foam sheet. Use Hot knife to cut traced line. Use Hot Knife Point to cut a cone shape out of purple foam sheet. Cut out center of circle to fit dimension of cone shape. Unplug tool and let cool.

Step: 6

Attach Circle Hot Stamp to Creative Versa-Tool™. Follow above directions for use. Use Circle Stamp to decorate purple foam cone before it is hot glued to retain cone shape. Use Circle Stamp to decorate pumpkin head in area above eyes. Unplug tool and let cool.

Step: 7

Attach Shading Point to Creative Versa-Tool™. Follow above directions for use. Use Shading Point to adhere adhesive stones in a random pattern on bottom pumpkin. Place stone on pumpkin and touch Shading Point on stone and hold for approximately 5 seconds. Accent each eye opening with a stone. Unplug tool and let cool.

Step: 8

Attach Tapered Point to Creative Versa-Tool™. Follow above directions for use. Press point into pumpkin to accent outer edge of each eye. Fill holes with glitter glue. Practice on a scrap of pumpkin to determine how long to hold point on pumpkin. Use glitter glue to outline the stars and facial openings.

Step: 9

To create collar:
Lay ribbon on glass mat. Use Tapered Point to cut triangle points along one edge of ribbon. Use needle and thread to gather ribbon. Unplug tool and let cool.

Step: 10

Use hot glue to adhere the two pumpkins together. Use hot glue to secure cone shape and also to adhere brim to cone shape. Use glitter glue on hat seam where cone is glued to brim. Place gathered collar under head. Secure ends together with a knot. Trim excess thread.
