Jewelry Basics: Top-Drill Wire Wrap Technique
This technique is quite advanced and requires that you are able to make wire wraps well. Practice first with soft copper wire and other top-drill beads (not crystal).

Step: 2

Cut a piece of soft quality wire at least 6-inches long and have tools available: chain nose pliers, round nose pliers, wire cutters.

Step: 3

Thread the top-drill piece or pendant onto the wire and position it so that it is centered.

Step: 4

Bend both ends of the wire up and gently cross them over the center of the top-drill piece.

Step: 5

Use the chain nose pliers to bend the one wire straight up and bend the other wire to a 90-degree angle. This is the wire you will use to wrap.

Step: 6

Continuing with the wire last bent, wrap it up the straight wire 2 or 3 turns tightly. Trim the end of the wire.

Step: 7

Working with the straight wire and your round nose pliers, make a loop and wire wrap down, wrapping the wire on top of the other wrapped wire. Trim the end of the wire.

Step: 8

Instructions
Begin the bracelet by removing both chain link bracelets from the toggle ends. Create the dangles: Use top-drill wire wrap for the large heart pendant, head pin loops for the beads, and jump rings for smaller heart pendants. Lay out the charms and dangles evenly and attach. Finish by adding the decorative toggle closure to both bracelets.

Step: 9

Remove the toggle bar and loop from each bracelet.

Step: 10

Make top-drill wire wrap for the large heart pendant.

Step: 11

Make head pin loop dangles: Use gold head pins for 8mm white pearls, and silver head pins for crystal rose bicones. Click to see technique for making head pin loop.

Step: 12

Divide the charms, pendant, and bead dangles, lay out their placement on both bracelets and attach with jump rings.

Step: 13

Use the jump rings to attach each end of the decorative toggle closure to both bracelets.
