Project Instructions

Cut egg in half lengthwise.

Cut one half of egg in half again. These will be the wings.

Measure 2¾" down from the top of the two egg quarters. Draw a slightly concave line and cut off this top portion.

Trim the thickness of the edge you just cut at a 45 degree angle so the wings will easily attach to the ladybug body.

Paint all pieces red and let dry. Paint the edges and undersides of the wings too, as the wings will be in the ‘open’ position.

Measure 3¾" from the top of the egg half. Paint this part of the egg black.

Paint two black circles on each wing as shown, about 1½" and 1-3/8".

Have the red glitter ready to go. Brush school glue onto one of the wings, avoiding the black circles. Work quickly to cover the top and immediately sprinkle with red glitter. Repeat with other wing. Don’t worry about covering the underside or edges with glitter. Let dry.

Attach wings to body one at a time as shown, using a 1½" pom pom under each for added support.

Glue on eyes.

Using the Creative Versa-Tool™, make a hole above eyes for the antennae.

Fold silver pipe cleaner in half and glue into hole. Finish ends by twisting around a pencil.

Create a smile with the red pipe cleaner and glue in place.

Glue three black pipe cleaner halves to each side of the body. Bend for a buggy look as pictured

Allow drying after each step.
