Project Instructions
Step: 1
Iron the bag out so it lays flat on tabletop or work area. Slip cardboard or wax paper inside tote to prevent paint from seeping through to backside of tote.
Step: 2
Shake Green Velveteen Soft Paint bottle well and squeeze out onto a piece of foil. Refer to photo to create the grass. Dip the tip of brush into the paint and begin at the bottom of tote brushing upward to a point. Repeat brush strokes along the bottom. Let dry flat.
Step: 3
With iron on steam setting, hold iron ½” above dry paint until paint appears textured. Avoid over steaming. Paint will feel like suede.
Step: 4
Refer to photo when positioning ladybug stencil. Squeeze out the Glitter Bond onto a piece of foil and use a wedge sponge to apply Glitter Bond over stencil. Immediately sprinkle on Red glitter while glue is wet. Shake off excess glitter. Hint: Save excess glitter on sheet of paper to reuse later. Peel off stencil and reposition on tote and repeat adding glitter.
Step: 5
Measure bottom edge of bag and handles. Cut red ribbon the length required to embellish. Apply the Fabric Fusion™ glue by squeezing it on the backside of the ribbon. Proceed by placing ribbon and firmly pressing into place with fingertips. Let dry.
