Project Instructions

Step: 1

FINISHED SIZE
Scarf 6½ x 56-inches (16.5 x 142cm).
Hat Circumference 19-inches (48.5cm). Hat will stretch to fit a range of sizes.


Step: 2

Gauge
17½ sts + 27 rows = 4 in. (10cm) over Tuck St. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.


Step: 3

STITCH EXPLANATIONS
M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting horizontal thread lying between needles and placing it onto left needle. Knit this new stitch through the back loop.

3/1 RPC (3 over 1 right purl cross)


Step: 5

Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in back, p3, then k1 from cable needle.

3/1 LPC (3 over 1 left purl cross)


Step: 7

Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k1, p3 from cable needle.

With straight needles, cast on 74 sts. Work in K2, p2 Rib for 5 in. (12.5 cm).

Beg with Row 1, work in Tuck St until piece measures 9¼ in. (23.5 cm) from beg, end with a Row 1 of Tuck St.
