Khanesia's Tip:

“For my jewelry piece I was inspired by the leather trend, that I designed for Fall trends in addition to Michaels large selection of jewelry. Leather has presented itself to be a key item this Fall. Its edgy, it's sleek and most of all it's hot! Therefore, I have designed a jewelry piece that incorporates these elements, accentuates drama, and embodies delicacy and fun.”

You will need a small circle, four small beads and one head pin. Insert the head pin in the first opening of the small circle and add the small beads. Then insert the beaded head pin through second opening.

Make a closure with the head pin by bending the extended head pin with round nose pliers. Add a jump ring to each end and a fish hook to one end.

Take the large geometrical circle and the leather cording and tie a knot as shown in the image.

Continue to insert the leather over the circle and under through the circle until you have completed and tied the entire circle.

Tie a knot to finish tying the leather.

Cut 16 pieces of chain five inches long or according to your preference. Next add eight pieces each to a jump ring.

Add jump ring with eight pieces of chain to earring piece as shown in the image.

Attach two additional jump rings to jump ring with chain.

Insert earring into leather tied circle and attach the last attached jump ring to the leather circle.

Repeat so that two additional jump rings are attached to the other side and connected as shown in the image.
