Material List
- Tulip® Soft® Fabric Paint – Platinum and Ebony
- Tulip® Glam-It-Up!™ Iron-On Glass Crystals, 300 Count Multi
- T-Shirt (Pre-washed and Dried) – Red
- Chalk
- Paper Plate
- Paintbrush – Flat
- Iron
- Pressing Cloth
- Toothbrush
Project Instructions
Step 1 Place a sheet of freezer paper inside the shirt to keep paint from seeping through to the back of shirt.
Step 2 Use chalk to draw large heart on shirt. Draw randomly sized small hearts inside large heart. Also draw heart at bottom with “hinged opening” on top half to simulate hearts floating out of it. Refer to photo.
Step 3 Pour puddle of Platinum paint on paper plate.
Step 4 Staying inside chalk lines, paint hearts with Platinum paint.
Step 5 Pour puddle of Ebony paint on paper plate.
Step 6 Paint a shadow on one side of each heart. Let dry. Remove freezer paper.
Step 7 Sprinkle crystals in between each of the painted hearts. Place crystals in color waves, starting with red and ending with yellow.
Step 8 Place pressing cloth over crystals, and iron with cotton setting for five seconds. Repeat until all of the crystals have been heat-set onto T-shirt.
Step 9 Brush off excess chalk with clean toothbrush to complete.
