Lil Duck Frame
Put a picture of your little cutie in this adorable duck frame! This project coordinates with other bright ‘n cozy duck themed projects for your baby’s nursery that you can find on our website.

- DecoArt Americana® Dura Clear Satin Varnish
- Plaid® ¼-inch Spouncer
- Loew Cornell® Chaco Paper
- Wood Frame, 5-inch x 7-inch
- ¼-inch Yellow Ribbon (8 inches)
- White Craft Glue
- Sanding Sponge
- Soft Cloth
Seal wood frame with Dura Clear Varnish.
When dry, sand smooth. Wipe away sanding dust with a soft cloth.
Basecoat the frame Pistachio Mint.
Paint water area at bottom of frame Bahama Blue.
Add True Blue shading along top edge of water.
Dry brush additional shading horizontally across water.
Using Chaco Paper and a stylus, transfer three duck patterns to frame.
Paint ducks with a coat of Snow White. Let dry.
Paint ducks Cadmium Yellow and beaks Bright Orange.
Lightly shade edges of each duck and wing area with Bright Orange.
Thin Royal Fuchsia slightly with water, then dry brush it on cheek area of duck.
Dot duck’s eye with Ebony Black. When dry, add a Snow White highlight dot to eye and to cheek.
If desired, paint saying “QUACK, QUACK” or child’s name on the frame.
Use small spouncer to dot background with Bahama Blue.
Glue a Yellow ribbon bow to top corner of frame.
Use Chaco Paper to transfer the duck patterns to the frame.
