Material List

  • Plaid® ¼-inch Spouncer
  • Loew Cornell® Chaco Paper
  • Stylus
  • 7-inch x 5-inch Canvas Frame
  • ¼-inch Yellow Ribbon (14 inches)
  • 1/8-inch Mint Green Ribbon (8 inches)
  • White Craft Glue

Project Instructions

Basecoat canvas with Snow White. Let dry.

Using Chaco Paper and a stylus, transfer pattern to canvas.

Paint stripes Pistachio Mint.

Add Bahama Blue shading to the right edge of Pistachio Mint stripes.

Paint duck Cadmium Yellow and beak Bright Orange.

Lightly shade edges of duck and wing area with Bright Orange.

Thin Royal Fuchsia slightly with water, then dry brush it on cheek area of duck.

Dot duck’s eye with Ebony Black. When dry, add a Snow White highlight dot to eye and to cheek.

Paint water area Bahama Blue.

Add True Blue Shading along top edge of water.

Dry brush additional shading horizontally across water.

Use small spouncer to dot background with Bahama Blue.

Transfer “QUACK” letters to canvas, or the baby’s name.

Paint letters with Ebony Black.

Using brush handle, dot ends of letters with Ebony Black.

Let dry thoroughly.

Glue 14-inch ribbon hanger to back of canvas.

Tie the 1/8-inch ribbon into a bow, then glue bow at duck’s neck.
