GAUGE
5 V-sts + 6.25 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
STITCH EXPLANATION
V-st (V-stitch) (Dc, ch 2, dc) in indicated st.
COWL
Note: Cowl is worked flat and then seamed, so that the pattern sts will flow across the width of the piece.
Ch 65.
Row 1: (Dc, ch 2, dc) in 6th ch from hook, *sk next 2 ch, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch (V-st made); rep from * across to last 2 ch, sk next ch, dc in last ch - 19 V-sts at the end of this row.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, V-st in each ch -2 sp across, dc in top of turning ch.
Rep Row 2 until piece measures about 60 in. (152.5 cm) from beginning.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew ends together to make a ring. Weave in ends.
