Tips

Scarf: Use a ribbon instead of knitting a cord. Hat: Sew a few stitches through the brim to keep it in place. Afghan: When joining a new ball of yarn, crochet over the yarn ends to save weaving them in later. Gauntlets: For shorter gauntlets, omit the elbow slit and work 4 rows of rib instead.
