Project Instructions
Step: 1
Size
About 48 x 60 inches (112 x 152.5 cm)
Step: 2
Gauge
13 sts + 6 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in ripple pattern. Be sure to check your gauge.
Step: 3
Stitch Explanation
dc3tog (dc 3 together) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. (Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through 2 loops) twice, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook 2 sts decreased.
Step: 4
Color Sequence
*Work 2 rows each with A, B, C; rep from * for Color Sequence.
Step: 5
Notes
To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete the st.
The ripple in this design is created by working dc3tog to form valleys and working 3 dc all in one st to form peaks. In each row, take care to work dc3tog over the 3 sts in each valley and 3 dc in the center dc of each peak.
The ripple pattern may not be evident in the first few rows. Continue to work rows, as instructed, and the ripple pattern will become more obvious.
Step: 6
Throw
With A, ch 159.
Step: 7
