Material List

  • Blank White Cards
  • Scrapbook Paper (to coordinate with buttons and ribbon)
  • Grosgrain Ribbon (7 inches of 7/8-inch wide turquoise, 7 inches of 5/8-inch wide fuchsia, 7 inches of 3/8-inch wide lime green)
  • Double Stick Tape
  • Die Cut Words (Thanks, Happy Birthday)
  • Paper Adhesive (of choice)
  • Hot Glue Gun and Glue
  • Embroidery Floss (lime green and pink)
  • Soft Black Feather (approximately 5 inches)
  • Needle and Thread
  • Scissors
 

Project Instructions

“Thanks”
Glue scrapbook paper to font of blank card, trim excess to card edges.
 

Using double stick tape, attach turquoise ribbon across bottom of card.
 

Using paper glue, attach the die cut “Thanks” to the right side of ribbon.
 

Stitch stackable turquoise/green buttons together with floss.
 

Knot above buttons.
 

Trim ends.
 

Place feather on card then hot glue stack of buttons on top, to the left of “Thanks”.
 

“Happy Birthday”
Glue scrapbook paper to front of blank card, trim excess to card edges.
 

Using double stick tape, attach fuchsia ribbon about 1/3 down from top of card.
 

Attach lime ribbon over bottom of fuchsia. Using paper adhesive, attach “Happy Birthday” die cut below ribbon.
 

Stitch stackable pink/lime green buttons together with floss.
 

Knot above buttons.
 

Trim ends.
 

Hot glue stack of buttons at right side of ribbon.
 

 

Tips

The right kind of adhesive makes the job easier. Use a paper adhesive for the die cuts, double stick tape for ribbon and hot glue to hold the buttons in place.
