- DecoArt® MagiKote™ Surface Coating for Styrofoam®
- Craft Smart® Acrylic Paints – Pink Blast, Holiday Red, Grass Green and Apple Tart
- Craft Smart® Glitter Paints – Silver and Green
- Styrofoam® Blocks, Large and Medium
- Paintbrush – ¾" Flat
- Water Container
- Palette (or Plastic Plate)
- Paper Towels
- Painter’s Tape
- Pouncer, 1¼"
- Sea Sponge
- Sandpaper (or Hand Sander)
- Ribbon
- Low Heat Glue Gun
- Scissors
Project Instructions
Step 1 Use ¾" flat brush to apply thin layer of MagiKote™ to both squares. Apply on all four sides and top.
Step 2 Let dry completely. Sand all sides and top.
Step 3 Add two to three additional coats of MagiKote™, sanding in between.
Pink Package
Step 1 Load sea sponge half with Pink Blast and other half with Holiday Red. Dab sponge on smaller package and repeat randomly, grabbing more paint as needed until total box is covered.
Step 2 Dip 1¼" pouncer in Pink Blast to add polka dots all over.
Step 3 Dip 1¼" pouncer in Silver Glitter and go over Pink dots you just made.
Green Package
Step 1 Load sea sponge half with Grass Green and other half with Apple Tart. Dab sponge randomly, grabbing more paint as needed until total box is covered.
Step 2 With painter’s tape, tape vertical stripe every 2" all the way around.
Step 3 Use ¾" flat brush to paint stripes Grass Green.
Step 4 Use same brush to apply Green Glitter over stripes.
Step 5 Hot glue packages together.
Step 6 Cut the ribbon of choice and tie around both packages.
