Project Instructions
Step 1 Paint the three clay pots yellow and let dry. Glue a 2.5" ball inside each of the pots with low-temp glue.
Step 2 Cut a 9", a 6" and a 5" length dowel. Glue the 9" dowel into the 5" ball, the 6" dowel into the 4" ball and the 5" dowel into the 3” ball. These are the stems for the topiaries, but you can use them as handles while you decoupage the balls.
Step 3 Cut several 2" leaf-shaped ovals from each color of tissue paper. Brush a small section of decoupage onto the ball and lay a tissue leaf in place. Brush decoupage over the tissue to hold in place. Continue to decoupage the tissue leaves in place slightly overlapping each leaf as you go to completely cover the ball. Continue to cover the 5", 4" and 3" balls in the three colors of tissue. Glue the dowels into the 2.5" foam balls inside the clay pots to dry.
Step 4 Arrange the scrapbook embellishments onto the balls. Glue to help secure if necessary.
Step 5 Glue a paper border strip around the top rim of each pot.
Step 6 Glue Spanish moss in the pot to cover the top of the foam.
