Mod Podge® Woodland Frame for Dad

  • Mod Podge® Professional Tool Kit
  • Mod Podge® Podgeable Shapes – Basics
  • Mod Podge® Dimensional Magic Clear
  • FolkArt® Acrylic Colors – Ivory White
  • Sandpaper, Fine Grit
  • Wood Frame, 7¾”x7¾”
  • Craft Glue (or Hot Glue)

Project Instructions

Step 1 Base coat frame Ivory White and allow to dry. Sand smooth using fine grit sandpaper and reapply base coat.

Step 2 Trim fern print paper to fit approximately ¾ths of frame (5" from top).

Step 3 Cut stripe paper to fit balance of frame (approximately 2¾")

Step 4 Cut a strip of the black fern postage stamp paper.

Step 5 Apply a coat of Mod Podge® to the frame and back of the fern paper.

Step 6 Position paper on frame. Press in place to remove excess Mod Podge® or air pockets. Allow to dry.

Step 7 Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to apply the stripe paper to the bottom of the frame.

Step 8 When dry, apply the black horizontal paper at the bottom of the frame.

Step 9 When dry, apply one to two coats of Mod Podge® over entire frame and allow to dry

Step 10 Use Mod Podge® to adhere the stripe paper to the back side of the rectangle Podgeable shape and a fern to the front side. Allow to dry.

Step 11 Coat the fern with Dimensional Mod Podge®.

Step 12 When dry, use either craft glue or hot glue to attach the rectangle at the bottom center of the frame.


Create a complementary frame by switching the positions of the papers.
